The Solution Architect is a highly skilled senior role with industry leading architecture and design expertise to support one or more programs. He/she has a deep end to end understanding of architecture standards and platform solution development expertise. The End User Technology Experience requires a seasoned Solution Architect to provide technical guidance on Application development, Microsoft Platform solutions, and lead customer service applications. Candidate must be a self-starter with Agile framework experience and provide RISK/Technical architecture leadership.

Essential Functions of the Job

§ A Solution Architect provides architecture leadership & subject matter expertise to product and program managers focusing on complex & innovative solutions

§ The solution architect creates innovative and practical designs that account for the end-to-end technical solution of a system, in line with EY's Strategic and Enterprise Technology Goals

§ For that, the candidate works closely and continuously with stakeholders to focus on meeting business requirements and incorporating broader aspects such as overall product costs/revenue, data privacy & sovereignty, business continuity, information security, integration with other systems, etc.

§ The candidate works with vendors to assess vendor products, understand vendor’s delivery models and assist in implementing them at EY.

§ A solution architect can work across multiple projects with varied stakeholders. The candidate sets architectural direction, builds consensus, mediates conflicts providing technical leadership and consulting services to the business.

§ The candidate anticipates needs and potential objections and helps to create an environment which solicits positive contributions from all participants: Solution and Technical Architects, engineering teams, product manager, project managers, Information Security and Operations.

§ The candidate has excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills that are required to operate as a leading member of global, distributed teams that deliver quality services and solutions.

§ Solution design will include the creation of reusable, repeatable IP and artifacts

§ Lead Agile sprints in product owner capacity and mentor technical staff on newer design sprints

§ Enforce adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability experience and design standards, etc.

§ Identify, communicate and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Decisions throughout the development lifecycle.

§ Responsible to propose with a custom solutions & collaboration with business application owners, project managers, designers, engineers, and infrastructure teams to build a quality experience for users

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

To qualify for the role, you must have:

§ Expert understanding of solution architecture.

§ The ability to adopt and relate new technologies to the set of problems we face at EY while adhering to security and other EY standards

§ The ability to communicate solutions, ideas, suggestions to a variety of (business) stakeholders effectively and comprehensibly

§ Expert understanding of latest cloud computing and data technologies, business drivers, emerging cloud trends, and deployment options.

§ Experience with Agile & DevSecOps methodologies

§ Experience in Modern Application Design and development

§ History of working credibly with senior stakeholders

§ Adapts personal communication style to the style of others, develops rapport and stays calm under pressure or escalating issues using advanced oral and written English communication skills.

§ Strong verbal and written skills including strong cross-cultural communication and the ability to draft effective communications

§ Ability to work with people in a variety of cultures, countries and time zones

§ Demonstrate excellent technical & architecture skills in the context of cloud-based platform/product design, service management and product lifecycle management

§ Demonstrate ability to rapidly learn new and emerging technologies and developing a vision of their suitability

Technical Experience

§ Extensive working knowledge on Cloud application architect role using Azure PaaS and IaaS and SaaS services

§ Subject matter expertise in Azure Microservices, Functions, Logic, Webapp or Digital services

§ Experience in building Analytics platforms using Azure Data Factory, Databricks and PaaS SQL

§ Experience with generative AI, specifically text based models. Experience with implementing RAG search using libraries such as langchain, llama_index, semantic kernel etc.

§ Experience in architecting and designing Adobe PDF solutions and exposure to Azure Cognitive search tools is a huge plus.

§ Experience with mission critical technology components with DR capabilities

§ Experience with multi-geography, multi-tier service design and management

Experience:

A minimum of 15+ years overall IT industry experience"
