Senior Project Manager
Here’s What You’ll Do
Manage and deliver multiple high-profile, high-risk, and complex deployments simultaneously.
Collaborate with the Sales team to understand customer goals and create detailed Statements of Work.
Define project goals and create detailed project plans, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Lead Fortra and customer project teams through the full deployment lifecycle using strong influencing skills.
Monitor, track, and report project status, ensuring consistent engagement with C-level stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support their journey with Fortra and desired security outcomes.
Acquire deep knowledge of Fortra products and services to onboard and train customers.
Ensure smooth transitions of customers into live service aligned with operational and business requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Maintain a utilization target of 85% or greater.
Support internal initiatives for improving processes and product releases.
Mentor team members in project management best practices and product knowledge.
Perform other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS -
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Formal project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, APM, ITIL Transition).
5–10 years of experience leading multi-phase projects, ideally in a matrix environment.
2–5 years specifically transitioning customers to managed services.
Proven ability to manage complex, high-visibility, fast-paced projects.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management, especially with C-level executives.
Strong relationship-building and customer trust development skills.
Advanced problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
Proficient in risk management and timely decision-making.
Ability to influence teams without formal authority and manage dependencies effectively.
Working knowledge of: Web applications
Information security compliance
Network security architecture
Cloud environment architecture
Ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
Resilient under pressure and driven by challenge.
Strong organizational and self-management skills with the ability to reprioritize as needed.
